District 9 - South Park Elementary to Host a Parent Event in November

South Park Elementary School will be hosting a “Parent Event” on Thursday, November 14, at 9 AM. Parents, legal tutors, and community stakeholders are invited to attend, so please mark your calendars.

This “Parent Event” will be focusing on student work, student data, and third grade commitment.

For the sake of our children, it is very important to be involved in their education in general, especially when it comes to literacy at a very early age. Moreover, parent involvement in children's education plays a crucial role in a child’s academic success, social development, and emotional well-being. When parents are actively involved, children tend to perform better in school, have better attitudes toward learning, and are more likely to complete their basic education to then pursue a college career.

Pastries will be served during the meeting for everyone to enjoy. And remember, having an active participation in school events like this can show your children that you do value their education. After all, education is the best legacy we can leave our children!
