Germantown Elementary School hosted a Fall Data Rally, engaging second- and third-grade students and their families in a fun and informative event focused on understanding student performance and school goals. The rally, designed to strengthen collaboration between the school and families, aimed to give participants a clearer understanding of student progress, attendance, behavior, and learning goals for the academic year.
The Data Rally provided parents, teachers, and administration with tools to make sense of academic data, ensuring the understanding of how students are progressing throughout the year. Educators shared insights into grade-level benchmarks, overall school performance, and essential academic skills. By making data more accessible, the school hopes to empower families to support their children’s learning journeys more effectively.
A central focus of the event was introducing the “GES Fight-Free” initiative, aimed at promoting positive behavior. The program seeks to cultivate a safe and respectful environment, helping students commit to a culture of kindness and conflict resolution. Attendees discussed ways to foster a “best in the nest” mentality around attendance, behavior, and learning, reinforcing the message that strong attendance and positive behavior are keys to academic success.
As Germantown Elementary continues to make strides in student development and community involvement, the Data Rally helps set the tone for a year of growth and achievement. With enthusiastic participation from students, parents, and staff, GES Elementary is well on its way to achieving excellence in attendance, behavior, and learning – strengthening its role as a leader in student-centered education.
