Hundreds of middle school students had the unique opportunity to interact with leaders from a wide range of professional fields during the annual College & Career Expo. The event was aimed to inspire students in grades five through eight to explore potential career paths and connect with accomplished professionals.
Each grade participated in a dynamic 45-minute session that allowed them to engage and interact with professionals from diverse industries. Snowden Principal Shadonica Scruggs emphasized, “the time is now in middle school. We are trying to expose them to various careers and l post secondary educational opportunities now.”
The expo featured attorneys, record producers, advertising executives, banking leaders, first responders, business owners, nonprofit representatives, and other business professionals.
“A plethora of people came to share about their college, career, and future.” In addition to speaking with these experts, students had the chance to view exhibits showcasing various career options, providing them with a well-rounded experience of each profession.
