Healthy Rewards: The Cigna Healthy Rewards program is a discount program that allows Cigna customers to pay discounted rates for a wide variety of health and wellness products, programs, and services including alternative medicine (acupuncture, chiropractic services, massages, physical therapy), fitness memberships, virtual workouts and yoga services, nutritional meal delivery, and vision care. Cigna customers even get Garmin products at a discounted rate.
Cigna 90 Now: Your plan includes a maintenance medication program called Cigna 90 Now. Maintenance medications are taken regularly, over time, to treat an ongoing health condition. Cigna 90 Now offers you more choice in how and where you can fill your prescription. Customers may choose to fill their maintenance medications in a 90-day supply. If you choose to fill 90 days at a time, you must use a 90-day contracted pharmacy in the Cigna 90 Now network to be covered. If you choose to fill 30 days at a time, you may use any retail pharmacy in the Cigna 90 Now network. Includes 68,000 pharmacies contracted for 30-day fills (same pharmacies that are in Cigna’s National network – i.e., includes both CVS and Walgreens). Includes 29,000 pharmacies contracted for 90-day fills prescription. Customers may choose to fill their maintenance medications in a 90-day supply. Housing Assistance: Some local financial institutions (independent entities separate from the district) are ready to assist with free credit analysis to get you moving in the right direction. These institutions may be able to provide a preapproval letter in as little as 72 hours (contingent on the type of loan and your credit score). These institutions may offer several down payment options as needed if you qualify based on their independent guidelines/grant availability. RetireReady: Memphis-Shelby County Schools, in conjunction with the State of Tennessee, offers a 401k plan
through Empower. This is part of Tennessee’s Retire Ready TN platform, which incorporates our defined pension plan through Tennessee Consolidated Retirement Systems (TCRS) and the 401k deferred compensation plans. MSCS employees are eligible to participate in the 401K plan through Empower. Teachers are automatically enrolled for a 2% contribution with an opt-out option if hired on or after July 1, 2014. All other employees can enroll voluntarily.
