Memphis-Shelby County Schools is #Reimagining901 with a new, hands-on internship program for juniors and seniors!
As the second largest employer in the metro area, the District employs professionals from many different industries.
In addition to 6,000 teachers, the MSCS family includes accountants, carpenters, radio broadcasters, counselors,
attorneys, law officers, nurses, IT specialists, and many, many others.
Through the new MSCS Internship Program (Power 1,000), participating students will work alongside district leaders
and corporate partners to gain valuable career skills and experience that aligns with their interests.
WHO: Seniors and Juniors from traditional MSCS high schools are encouraged to apply.
Students must be 16 years of age by June 3rd, 2024 to be eligible for the
MSCS Summer Internship Program.
WHEN: Interns will be expected to report in-person to their worksite.
Summer Internship: June 3rd through June 28th, 2024, Monday-Wednesday for a range of 5-7
hours per day.
To ensure one internship opportunity per applicant, if you have been
accepted as an intern with the MSCS Tutoring Internship Program through Peer Power, you will not be eligible to
